- (Q) What is the difference between products made from polyurethane and those made of PVC?
(A) The quick answer is that polyurethane products are made by casting a liquid resin in a mold while PVC products start out as a sheet of material, but there is so much more to it, click here to learn more. - (Q) Can your items be painted?
(A) Yes, all of our items can be painted to any color using a high quality acrylic latex paint. Our products are made of materials that have a closed cell structure. This means that they will not absorb moisture. The main cause of paint failures (peeling, cracking, bubbling) is moisture getting behind the coating and damaging the bond. This will not happen with our products. - (Q) Can your corbels support a granite counter top?
(A) Wood corbels are structural in nature as is any wood product. Our polyurethane corbels will hold some weight but are not designed to be structural and have not been specifically tested for that purpose. We cannot make any specific recommendations as to load bearing capacities. - (Q) What type of maintenance is needed to keep the products looking good?
(A) Very little. Our polyurethane, PVC, and fiberglass products are all low maintenance millwork products, making them ideal for both the interior and exterior of the home. Some of our items are carved wood, and are described as such in their individual product descriptions. These items are made from wood and should be used for interior applications only. - (Q) What is a gable pediment?
(A) A gable pediment (gable decoration, gable trim) is a decorative millwork piece used to enhance the appearance of the roof end gables on your house. We offer gable trims in dozens of sizes and styles. We can also make custom styles and sizes if you don't see what you desire. Call us for more info. (A) Pitch is the incline slope of a roof or the ratio of the total rise to the total width of a house and is expressed in the inches of rise per foot of run. To better understand roof pitch, download the Roof Pitch Calculator. - (Q) What is your return policy?
